Enjoy experiences that bring you closer to the natural essence of the Beira Interior, inviting you to explore trails, observe species, feel the colours of the season, gather what the land offers, and let the landscapes renew you from within.
Main areas of action: Vale do Côa, Serra da Gardunha, Serra da Malcata, and Serra da Estrela.
Birdwatching
Nests of griffon vultures, cliff-dwelling birds, aquatic species, Iberian endemics — the diversity is remarkable! We take you birdwatching throughout the Beira Interior, in the following locations: Vale do Côa; Segura; Idanha a Nova; Barragem do Meimão; Barragem do Sabugal; Serra da Estrela; Áreas Rewilding. We include transportation in our vehicle and provide a telescope. We also have entry-level binoculars available for those who don’t have their own.
Price: Half day: from € 100; Full Day: from € 200.
Lunch not included.
Optional: Picnic with local products at a location to be designated: € 35 per person.
Observation up to Douro Internacional.

Foraging
Foraging is a practice that is becoming increasingly rare due to the socio-demographic evolution of our country. In this activity, we will go out into the countryside in search of edible species, medicinal plants, and/or wild mushrooms, depending on the season of the year.
Price: Up to 10 people: € 100. From 10 people: + € 20 per person.

Visit to Vale Carapito
The Vale Carapito, the first property opened to visitors by Rewilding Portugal, reveals the initial results of small-scale rewilding. The route allows you to observe well-preserved oaks and holm oaks, clearings maintained by Sorraia horses in a semi-wild regime, and ponds showing signs of greater biodiversity, while the Cesarão river and edible plants enrich the visit. At the end, it is also possible to visit the village of Vilar Maior and learn about its history.

Visit to Ermo das Águias
Ermo das Águias, with 1,000 ha, is the largest property of Rewilding Portugal and functions as a small private Nature Reserve, where Renaturalization is visible in the landscape. During the experience, it is possible to observe mosaics of old pastures, aquatic habitats, a colony of griffons, and rare species such as Rosa Albardeira, the Golden Eagle, and various wild orchids, all enriched by the presence of Sorraia Horses in a semi-wild setting.
Price: Up to 10 people: € 135. From 10 people: + € 20 per person. Provision of some optical equipment guaranteed.

Sunset Picnic
Sunset is a magical moment. It marks the end of a cycle; a time for contemplation and setting new goals and desires. Beir’Aja wants to take you to the best viewpoint in Beira and offer you a picnic with the finest local products while you watch the descent of the most important star around which we all revolve: the sun! On clear nights, you might even be lucky enough to witness the breathtaking meteor showers!
Price: € 50 per person.
Free for children up to 6 years old.
Duration: Between 2 to 4 hours, including sunset observation and a short 4×4 ride.
Note: Picnic with dairy and/or meat-based products. Please inform us of any intolerances or dietary restrictions at least 3 days in advance.
Beir’Aja Picnic
The best products from the region, sourced directly from the producer. We combine gastronomy, pastries, seasonal fruit, and the artisanal transformation of locally collected products, such as juices or herbal/fruit teas. We bring the picnic to you, so all you have to do is sit back and enjoy.
Price: € 35 per person. Pickup and delivery.
Free delivery up to 20 km from our headquarters. + € 1/km additional.
Duration: 1-hour tasting

Agricultural or Livestock Experience
Seasonality ensures the authenticity of these experiences, where you can get a taste of what is done to bring these delicious products from Beira Interior to your dining table.
Olive Experience
Olive oil is one of the most noble products the region has to offer, and you can be part of its creation process! Join us in a traditional olive grove with centuries-old trees and experience both traditional and contemporary harvesting methods. Visit a press with us and learn how olives are transformed into olive oil! At the end, we taste olive oil from previous harvests, accompanied by a typical agricultural snack.
Price: € 40 per person. Free for children up to 8 years old. From 9 to 16 years – 50% Discount.
Duration: Approximately 4 hours
Season: Late November and December, Penamacor.
Capacity: Minimum 2, maximum 6 people.
Shepherding Experience
On this farm with a view of the Serra da Gardunha, the day begins with milking the sheep to produce organic cheeses and ricotta. You will walk with the flock, learning about the sheep, enjoy a lunch featuring lamb and organic legumes, make ricotta in the cheesemaking area, relax by the orchard, and finish with a typical Beirão snack—a full and memorable day.
Price: € 80 per person (€ 60 half day).
Free for children up to 6 years old. From 7 to 12 years: € 55 (half day € 30).
Duration: Full day.
Season: November to June, Castelo Branco.
Option: Half day, with tasting instead of a full lunch, Milking + cheese production and tasting.
